Description
Odor Filter Made in Italy
Flange: Ø100
Flow rate: 240 m³/h
Length: 200mm
After the reflectors for HPS bulbs and the propagators for cuttings, the Airontek line is enriched with new members: the activated carbon filters Airon filters.
The new Airontek filters are available in 5 versions which differ in flange diameter and flow rate,i.e. in the air filtration capacity calculated on one hour of use.
What are activated carbons?
Activated carbon is a material whose main constituent is amorphous carbon and which is characterized by a highly porous structure. Precisely this characteristic causes a large surface of activated carbon to come into contact with the air during filtering, which takes place thanks to the strong adsorbent capacity of this material.
Thanks to this physical procedure, the coal is able to retain almost all the organic molecules (such as odors) and non organic molecules present in the air.
What are activated carbon filters used for?
Considering the characteristics listed above,it is easy to understand why the use of quality activated carbon filters is so important in our sector: for the control of unwelcome odors that come out of the cultivation chambers.
How to choose the right filter?
Activated carbon filters consist of an external hollow “cartridge” closed on one side and equipped,on the other side, with a neck or flange which allows it to be connected to flexible pipes.
The walls of the cartridge have a cavity which is filled with activated carbon.
When the filter is inserted inside the suction system and then connected to an extractor, the air is forced to pass through the carbons which clean it from unwelcome odors and polluting or harmful particles.
For air cleaning to be effective,it is important to choose the right aspirator, which must be proportionate to the flow rate from the filter: specifically, the flow rate of the filter must be approximately 20 30% higher than that of the aspirator.
This will prevent the aspirator from losing power (which if coupled to a filter with too low a flow rate would strain too much, losing power) and will prolong the contact time between air and carbon, which will therefore be able to carry out their cleaning work in the best possible way .
Airontek filters are made using only quality materials and have been designed to be long lasting, light and robust.
